Each August KCCK sponsors four free Thursday night concerts at Noelridge Park in Cedar Rapids. Jazz Under the Stars 2011 marked our 24th year. Performers included Ariel Pocock, Funk Daddies, Dennis McPartland and The Jazz Underground and Bob Dorr and The Blue Band.
Fresh food is cooked on site by Katering Kitchen, treats are available from Dairy Queen and concert-goers can register to win t-shirts, CDs and other prizes.
Jazz Under the Stars is supported by Pat McGrath Chevyland, Collins Community Credit Union, Rockwell Collins, Latta, Harris, Hanon & Penningroth, Shive Hattery Architecture Engineering, Northtowne Cycling & Fitness, West Music and Kirkwood Community College.
